The conference will take place on Georgetown’s main campus at:

While there is no designated hotel for conference attendees, the university keeps a list of area hotels that are relatively close to campus. We encourage ride-sharing and public transportation to get to the conference venue, as parking is often difficult around the university.

Air Travel

The closest airport to the conference site is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. A bit farther out are Dulles International Airport and Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). Taxi/rideshare services will take you the rest of the way. Train Travel

Those traveling to D.C. by train will disembark at Union Station. From there, a direct bus departing from Massachusetts Ave Ne + Columbus Cir Ne and arriving at Q St Nw + 35Th St Nw will take you to the Georgetown area. Buses depart every 30 minutes and the journey takes approximately 38 min. Alternatively, taxi service takes around 7 minutes. Public Transportation

Georgetown University is accessible by public transit using Metrobus, Metrorail, and the DC Circulator bus. Visit the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) website at https://www.wmata.com to plan your trip using Metrobus or Metrorail. Additionally, Georgetown runs a free shuttle bus that connects the Main Campus with Metro stations at Rosslyn (Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines) and Dupont Circle (Red Line). Taxis and Ridesharing

Taxis and ridesharing services are common ways to travel to Georgetown University. Taxis are regularly available outside the university main gates at 37th & O Streets, NW. When taking a taxi or other ridesharing service to Georgetown University, the best destination is 37th & O Street, NW.

Parking

Visitor and daily parking is available in the Southwest Garage which is accessed from 3611 Canal Road NW . When entering, pull a ticket from the gate dispenser. Pay by credit card at the exit gate or bring the ticket to the pay station on the ground floor lobby of Kennedy Hall to pay with cash or credit card. Once parked in the Southwest Garage, visitors can use the elevators to exit onto campus. The parking rate is $25/day.

Dining

Continental breakfast and coffee will be provided throughout the conference, as will boxed lunches on the days listed on the schedule below.

In the nearby Leavey Center (see map above), where the Georgetown Bookstore is located, there are fast food options including Starbucks, Salad Creations, and Royal Jacket.

The closest restaurants to campus are The Tombs (casual American/bar food) at 1226 36th Street NW; Fitzgerald’s at 1232 36th Street NW; and 1789 Restaurant and Bar (more upscale) at 1226 36th Street NW. Sandwiches to go can be found at Wisemiller’s at 1236 36th St. NW. And there are numerous spots on Prospect St. NW and Wisconsin Ave. NW.
